This week we’ve got a bittersweet track from Kevin Morby for our Los Angeles song of the week. “Come to Me Now” is one the latest singles from the former Woods and Babies member. The better half of the song is morose with a pump organ melody dancing mystically in the background. “Come to Me Now” comes off Morby’s upcoming album, City Music. While his 2016 release, much beloved, Singing Saw, radiated with influence from Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell, City Music reveres Lou Reed and Patti Smith. City Music, due out June 16 via Dead Oceans, was inspired by urban landscape and explores themes of solitude.
