Mac DeMarco Is Back With Two New Tracks: Will Release New Album This Old Dog May 5th

Mac DeMarco has shared two new songs from his upcoming album This Old Dog. Following his 2015 “mini-LP” Another One, it will be his first full-length since 2014’s Salad Days. DeMarco wrote This Old Dog just before moving from Queens, New York to Los Angeles and let the songs sit before going into the recording process. This brought an overall different vibe to the album which can can clearly be heard through the title track “This Old Dog” and “My Old Man.” Each is played with an acoustic guitar and layered with dream, pop synths, making for a more mature sound than what he’s done in the past. 

Mac will be playing in Portland at the Oregon Zoo Amphitheatre on September 9th.

Tonstartssbandht will be opening for the first half of the tour.

This Old Dog is due out May 5th on Captured Tracks. Check out both tracks below:
